The organizing elements for the new Chez D’Or Salon and Skin Spa are two main nodes; the stainless steel color bar in the salon, and the intimate round spa lounge that serves as the transition from the active salon to the more private spa. The finishes throughout the space work together to enforce the “house of gold” theme and provide a unique sensual experience; glass panels imbedded with green fabric punctuate more intimate space, white pebble flooring leads to the spa lounge, and corrugated gold acrylic panels provide a screen between various services. Shimmering gold wall decals add another layer of detail from the salon to the spa to enhance the connectivity of the spaces.
