Placitas,
New Mexico Nestled on a saddle in the Sandia Mountain foothills, the house seeks to embrace the drama of the landscape. The exterior is rooted in southwest vernacular, with thick exterior walls (achieved through the use of Rastra), punched window openings and galvanized metal roof, while the massing and material selections of green stucco, split face concrete masonry units and metal railings provide design twists that provide a contemporary image. |
