The design concept was “REI meets the Apple Store.” Built in an up-and-coming business park for medical offices, Fanning Orthodontics blends high-tech practices and images of nature.

The waiting room caters to patients of all ages. Children may watch friendly movies on the large flat-screen TV. Parents and older patients sit at the internet bar and work or play.

Patients seated in the dental chairs look out large windows that perfectly frame the Sandia Mountains. River rock, wood, and sleek, brushed stainless steel are used throughout the interior. The atmosphere is natural and outdoorsy.
