Computer Science Research Institute

Albuquerque, NM

The design of the Computer Sciences Research Institute (CSRI) building is a reflection of those who work there: creative, smart, and innovative.

A long, curving driveway leads to CSRI, which sits on a prominent site within Albuquerque’s Sandia Science and Technology Park. The building approach is centered on the two story glass entrance lobby that separates the private office wing from training and presentation rooms. The Lobby is transparent to let the natural light inside and focus the views to the Sandia Mountains to the east.

Mathematicians, scientists and students from around the globe collaborate on computer and computational science problems with the Department of Energy inside the office wing. The building fosters their research with private space and collaborative areas within a visionary setting.
